Weight Loss Contest

Losing weight is not a joke. You have to muster enough energy to convince yourself that you need it. Then you must watch out for all the food that you put in your mouth. You also need to have a fitness instructor or someone that can watch your weight. Visiting the gym and staying there for a few hours a day, as well as watching the food you eat can be difficult, and many people find that they can’t rise up to the challenge.

More often than not, problems start to come in because of your waning enthusiasm. The food that you eat seems to be bland, and you don’t feel inspired to eat it anymore. The sugar, the tasty ice cream, the cookies, and the fried chicken seem to be unbearable to look at. These foods are so inviting that you want to just eat them right away. Your trip to the gym has now become a burden instead of something to look forward each week. And you just get frustrated because of the slow weight loss process you are in. You also start to think that you may not lose anything at all.

It might sound crazy, but if you can’t find the strength within to melt those fats and excess weights, why not look for them outside? You can organize a weight loss contest in your area where you recruit friends and neighbors who also have a hard time finding the motivation. A weight loss contest might also be the thing they need for more motivation to get thinner and lighter. Aside from your friends, you can organize through some online weight loss forums and have people sign up. They can update you with a picture of their weighing scale every week, and you compare notes on what you did and how much you lost for that week. The prize might be motivation, but since you’re doing it altogether it’s enough that you win by getting the most weight out of your body.

However, before all of you go into a weight loss contest, you should thoroughly talk about it. It might backfire and instead of losing weight, all of you just gain weight because of anger towards one another. Aside from losing weight together, it will build up friendships whether online or in your community.

A weight loss contest might be the motivation you need. A challenge to be better is a great idea. However, instead of bragging about your success in your weight loss by yourself, it’s always best to share and get the best results together. In that way, everybody wins.
