There is a new study from the Harvard School of Health which shows that consuming trans fat could increase women’s risk of infertility.
The study shows the fallowing 2 statements.
Getting 2% of energy from trans fats rather than from mono-unsaturated fats was associated with a high risk of ovulatory infertility.
Each 2% increase in the intake of energy from trans unsaturated fats, as opposed to carbohydrates, was associated with a 75% greater risk of infertility after adjustment for known risk factors for this condition.
This research is surprising to many, but not all agree with what the Harvard School of Public Health had to say. Some mentioned that the study did not have enough evidence to make these claims.
