Soft Drink Calorie Burners: Do They Work?

EnvigaAre these zero calorie soft drinks good? Well, compared to other soft drinks yes, but not great in anyway. If you live in a city like New York, or Los Angel, then  you’ve probably seen the ads of the popular fat burning soft drinks. These companies spend millions on advertising, and if you don’t live in the city, don’t worry, these ads are coming your way pretty soon. Some of these  soft drinks claim they burn calories because they have ingredients like Hoodia. One of the most popular fat burning soft drinks is called Enviga.

Enviga is becoming more popular everyday. Enviga is linked to calorie burning because it contains ingredients like EGCG and caffeine. Both ingredients have been shown to boost your metabolism and overall increase the amount of calories you burn every day.

But the million dollar question is: Does this drink really work In Burning Calories?

According to The center for Science No. They say this drinks is ineffective and have false advertising claims. The consumer watch dog group is even threatening to file a lawsuit against Enviga, which is rund by the company Coca-Cola.

So, are the claims that Enviga make false? Well, in my personal opinion i think in a way it is. You see, Enviga claims there product burns fat because a research done in Switzerland concluded that consuming 600mg of caffeine and 270mg of EGCG helped burn 60 extra calories per day, but this study didn’t actually use the product Enviga and the study was made with 270mg of EGCG, almost the equivalent of 3 cans of Eviga. So they back up there advertising claims with a study that doesn’t even relate to there product at all.

I’m not against this soft drink, but i just think that they need more evidence to back up there claims, so that the consumer can feel more confident on what there buying, until then, i don’t recommend you buy it.
