Have some of you notice when going grocery shopping that there is a new line of Kellogg’s protein enriched foods ? Its incredible how the beverage industry has increased in the past 3 years.
Now there is a new Kellogg’s K20 water that is special because it contains 5 grams of protein. The bottle itself contains 16oz of water. Kellogg’s K20 also contains about 8 grams of sugar.
Sounds nice, but how much does it cost?
They have set the price to $1.50, which is about the same as there competitors.
A BusinessWeek column called “a case of brand extension greed” - and I think they are correct. According to the Promo Magazine: “The line will be positioned as nutritious, targeting consumers interested in weight loss.”
Kellogg says that thanks to this water now its easier to lose 6 pounds in 2 weeks. I really don’t know why they say this, water doesn’t actually make you lose weight, it only helps you.
I wonder if this we actually sell well.
