Now a days were people are getting fatter and fatter, insurance companies are offering good discounts to thinner clients .
People who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 20 and 25 can get an insurance discount of up to 20%. Right now the company Phonex Cos Inc. is offering this discount.

I guess that those who have a normal BMI should be happy with this news.

As some of you know, the BMI is determine by the persons height to weight ratio. People who have a BMI of over 30 are considered obese.

“We tried to come up with a program that accounts for factors such as strokes, and help those who maintain healthy weight, lifestyle, what they eat and go to the gym,” said Joe Kelleher, senior vice president and chief operating officer of The Phoenix. (MSNBC.com)

I think this new discount that insurance companies are offering is going to cause some conflict because people may feel discriminated.
