A study done a few weeks ago shows a big promise for those who are over wight. The popular weight loss supplement CLA can actually help people lose weight during the holiday season when they tend to over eat.
For this research, the University of Guelph and the University if Wisconsin recruited 42 overweight volunteers. Half of them were give a daily dose of 3.2 grams of CLA for about six months and the others got a inactive placebo pill.
And here is what the researchers had to say about the results, “Despite no differences between the CLA and the placebo group with regards to calorie intake or physical activity throughout the study, the CLA group still managed to lose weight prior to the holiday season and didn’t gain any weight over the holidays,”
Those people who had the placebo pill gained 2 pounds during the months of November and December, but those taking CLA lost 3 pounds of fat during the same period.
CLA is a type of fat that is found in dairy products. This type of fat was shown to burn existing fat in the body, and the study done by these two Universities confirms this.
This study was published in the Journal of Obesity. Now you know the great benefits that CLA can have in your body, but by no means CLA is a miracle pill, i don’t want you guys to think this can solve all your weight problems.
