A normal day at work: You hurry off with nothing in your stomach. By morning you’re onto your second coffee. Since its break time, you go off to by a muffin and some latte.
Lunchtime comes and you get anything that’s fast and cheap. By mid afternoon your are tired and not in a very good mood, so you decide to grab a bite or snack with a coke.
This is the busy lifestyle Americans live everyday. Also, this is just one out of hundreds of reasons why the U.S is the country with most overweight people.
Here are 3 easy ways to improve your work diet.
- Don’t Skip Breakfast
If you are not hungry when you wake up or don’t have enough time - why not prepare some breakfast at work? I’ve known many a colleague who will make themselves some breakfast in the staff room. Most offices will have at least a fridge and a small microwave oven. If your office doesn’t have this, then suggest to your boss that you would like some kind of a staff from for your meals. Maybe he agrees. - Put Some Fruit in Your Bag
A dedicated and fit person always had 2 or 3 pieces of fruit sitting on his desk. The fruit was always consumed near the end of the day. It rubbed off on me so I began bringing in fruit. I’ve never looked back. You don’t have to keep reaching for the vending machine, therefore you can save a lot of money by the end of the month. - Get Out of The Office
I’ve always been surprised at the people who stay in the office for 8 hours straight. Plan to get out at lunch time - go for a small walk - clear your mind - and make time to eat something.
